Baby Girl card

Went to a baby shower over the weekend & made this card for it. It was fun that people didn't recognize it immediately as "home made" & gave gratifying remarks when they found out that I made it.
I tried sponging ink on the paper w/the Nestie still in place. I've always liked the look of the border left by the die. I feel good about my first attempt & will certainly try it again.
Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies: PTI - cardstock, ink, stamps; Sizzix embossing folder, Nestie label, Versafine brown

Papertrey Princess Challange - Gratitude

It actually feels like fall here in Texas, today! So, my challenge to you is to consider people that you're grateful for & to consider all the fall-themed items in your stash.

Using your stash, make 5 gratitude/thankful cards for people who presently bless or who have in the past, blessed your life. I was thinking that they could be mini ones (this makes me wish I had the lunchbox note die) that you hand to people or regular-sized ones that you mail.

I will post my card later. The combination of a migraine yesterday & High School Art students doing their level best to get away with something because they had a sub (me) has fried my brain.

I plan on using the First Fruits paper pad that we rec'd at Stamp-A-Faire. What are you going to dig out?

Fall Birthday card & the final in my gift sets

It's fall in the UK (where I'm taking these card sets) even if it's not yet on the horizon in Texas! I believe this could be used for a man as well as a woman - the mum stamp is not too pronounced.
With the making of this card, I decided that my gift sets would contain 5 cards -- 5 is my favorite number, things are nice in odd numbers, and that I am tired was probably the winning vote to stop at 5!

Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: PTI cardstock, ink, PP, flower stamp; Hero Arts sentiment, Copic, Versafine brown

I finally used the typewriter stamp!

I bought this stamp & die set at GASC-Arlington in June, I have pinned at least a dozen cards using it on Pinterest, and today I made something with it!
This is card #4 for my gift sets.

Supplies: My Favorite Things die & stamps, PTI cardstock & doily stamps, Versafine ink, pop dots

Second one is PTI cardstock, die, ink & sentiment; Basic Grey PP; Hero Arts? woodgrain stamp.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mehndi Medallion impression plate

My goal is to make 4 sets of 6 different cards to bring as little gifts for people I'm seeing on our trip to the UK. This is the first one. I wanted to use the Mehndi Medallion IP to try it out. I love how it looks.
Thanks for stopping by! Now, to make the next 5!

Supplies: PTI cardstock & IP, Nestie tag, Waltzingmouse stamp, Versafine ink

Thinking of you card; Flower Fusion PTI

A card to add to my Operation Write Home pile. I did a stamped background, but feel I should have stopped a bit sooner. Live & learn!
Still, all in all, feel glad to have made a card! Thanks for stopping by.

Supplies: PTI - cardstock, stamps, buttons, ink; Versafine brown

Quick birthday card

I needed a card to take to a birthday luncheon, so I whipped out my new Nesties Labels 18 & one of my new Sizzix embossing folders to make this.
I put the Coredinations Whitewash cardstock in the embossing folder the wrong way, so my design is debossed! A little sanding brought the design out a bit.
No awards will be given for the photo.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Supplies: Coredinations Whitewash CS, PTI white CS, Nesties, PTI stamp & ink

Summer Card Camp Week 3 - anniversary card

Here's the 30th anniversary card I made for my extremely dear husband. I used the colors for Summer Card Camp, Week 3 as they suited a masculine card. I guess a lovey-dovey card isn't really too masculine!
Thanks for taking a look.

Supplies: PTI cardstock, stamps & number dies. Tim Holtz edge die, Spellbinders tag, Versafine & Versamark inks

card for OWH/ Summer Card Camp

Two days in a row w/a new card! Perhaps it's the start of a roll.
This card was made w/whatever was already out on my table - except the kraft base. I will add it to my stash of cards for Operation Write Home. OWH needs a lot of no-occasion cards that the heroes can use for whatever purpose suits them.
This is also loosely based on the last of the bonus color schemes from Summer Card Camp.
Thanks for taking a look at my quick, cheerful card.

Supplies: PTI cardstock, ink & stamps; MME PP, Martha punch, Nesties, Sizzix embossing folder

Summer Card Camp - Week 1

I had email problems & didn't get this posted in time to be considered for the spotlight cards, but I can still be eligible for prizes on Sunday!
This was a hard color combo for me - purple always does me in - but I finally came to a truce w/it.
Thanks for taking a look.

Supplies: PTI cardstock, PP, ink, buttons & die; Twinery twine; Echo Park striped PP

Papertrey Princesses "Spring Cleaning" challenge

***Oops! picture coming tomorrow.
I am issuing my first challenge as a Papertrey Princess. Here we go with sort of a Spring Cleaning Challenge!

We all save some elements of the packaging that comes w/our PTI goodies -- perhaps the boxes, the tissue paper, the thank you cards, acetate sheets that the stamps come on & the cute belly bands from the stamp boxes. My challenge to you is to use at least one of these things we've been saving with the thought of, "I could use this for something!" So, think outside the box or use the box & let us see what you come up with. When you use these things, you're not taking time for crafting; you're doing Spring Cleaning!

If you are one of those rare beings who has none of the above items saved; I bow before your minimalism & salute you! You can just show us one of your pretty creations.

Papertrey Princesses Challenge

I have been a Princess in absentia. Computer problems, iPhone replacement, a dinner party & visitors have been keeping me from posting my card for the last challenge. See the challenge on Sue P.'s blog. http://thispinkrooster.blogspot.com/2011/03/papertrey-princesses-challenge.html
But on the last possible day, I sneek it in! Purple always makes me think of spring & lilacs were a spring highlight of my Michigan childhood.
The colors go together way better in real life.
Thanks for taking a look!

Supplies: PTI - cardstock, PP, stamp, ink, die. Nesties dies. Kay & Co dimensional sticker.

Another card for PTI "Make it Monday" Go-to sentiment

Another try for a PTI anniversary card contest.
This is a card for my son's Valentine birthday. It's not too lovey-dovey as is fitting for a man, but w/a little Valentine-ishness to give a nod to a Feb. 14th birthday. He'll be home this weekend, so I'll be able to give it to him in person!
Thanks for looking!

Supplies: PTI stamps, cardstock, ink, impression plate; Nesties; EK circle punch

PTI Button challenge

I made these cards for 2 (I have 6!) of my sisters' birthdays. I kind of went crazy w/the buttons, but I just had to step away & be happy w/how they turned out.

Supplies: PTI cardstock, stamp, ribbon, buttons, PP, die; Memento ink

PTI Design Team Color Challenge

I pretty much CASEd Dawn McVey's card & color combo - using what materials & skills I have in my possession. This will be my daughter's Valentine - she is very much an appreciative audience for my crafty stuff. I'm happy with it.
Thanks for looking!

Supplies: PTI cardstock, PP, stamp, border dies, Fresh Snow ink; Nesties; Memento brown ink, pop dots
