Why Blogger hate me?

*** Somehow Blogger would not let me add text to my photo post***

Back from vacation & made a card for the first time in a long time. I made 2 of these to thank people we visited on our trip. I had my April release goodies waiting for me when I got back, so I used the Enjoy the Ride stamp & die - found that lining up the stamp on the die takes some practice. The Dotty Biscotti paper is very fun! {CANNOT figure out how my text got the blue underline & then it stopped!}

Thanks to the people who recommended the Enchanted Cottage in NC. I got to shop the clearance cottage which was like a trip back in time! Some stuff was from almost 10 yrs. ago, but I did get some cool bargains. The owner & her staff were nice; only wish I'd had more than an hour to shop. My DH enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch while I shopped.

Merci pour la visite!

Supplies: PTI cardstock, stamps, patterned paper. Memento ink. Ranger white pen

I finally made a card!

Happy Birthday to my girl!

This is the card I made for my daughter's 22nd birthday. She was born on April Fools' Day, but she is far from foolish. She graduates from Baylor University in May & then starts her Ph.D. in Statistics program in the fall. We are very proud of her.

Now for the card... I had been wanting to try out the bookprint flower & this seemed a good opportunity. I used an old French Lit paperback text that we had put in our Goodwill box. We lived in France & all speak French (w/varying degrees of fluency) so I'm happy to have this to use for crafty purposes. I scored the strip of New Leaf & embossed the leaves (half of a punched heart) w/ the same Cuttlebug folder I used for the Hibiscus Burst background. Of course I see the little things I would have done differently, but a nice card all in all.

Supplies: PTI stamp, ink, cardstock, button, flower die. Nesties label & rectangle dies. Cuttlebug embossing folder, EK heart punch
