Happy Birthday to my girl!

This is the card I made for my daughter's 22nd birthday. She was born on April Fools' Day, but she is far from foolish. She graduates from Baylor University in May & then starts her Ph.D. in Statistics program in the fall. We are very proud of her.

Now for the card... I had been wanting to try out the bookprint flower & this seemed a good opportunity. I used an old French Lit paperback text that we had put in our Goodwill box. We lived in France & all speak French (w/varying degrees of fluency) so I'm happy to have this to use for crafty purposes. I scored the strip of New Leaf & embossed the leaves (half of a punched heart) w/ the same Cuttlebug folder I used for the Hibiscus Burst background. Of course I see the little things I would have done differently, but a nice card all in all.

Supplies: PTI stamp, ink, cardstock, button, flower die. Nesties label & rectangle dies. Cuttlebug embossing folder, EK heart punch

    I just found this and had to comment- this is funny because my son just turned 22 on 4/1 as well, AND my DH and I are soon celebrating our 29th anniversary!!!!! Beautiful card btw. Just had to share! Have a blessed Easter! (Sheryl - a PTI "addict" in NM)
